Super-wha?

Did I follow the NFL season?  No.  I am a Dallas fan.  Sorry.  Have been since a kid.  But, as I have grown older I have become a fan of the Super Bowl.  Gathering  of friends.  Chance to make chili. Watch, for the most part, some pretty good commercials and even watch some hot guys throw the football around... This year was no different.
This is most of the fixings for the three different chili's Jeff and I were making for our little gathering on Sunday... we had everything from a mild lamb and white bean chili (Jeff made) to my super spicy chili with sausage and beef and hot peppers etc.. and a chicken and turkey chili that was a nice middle of the road, with a slight kick, but nothing too bad.  All three were good, but the chicken/turkey chili seemed to be favorite among most... for the spice enthusiast, the beef/sausage chili was the one...my fave anyway... in the end, I blended the my two chilies together for a nice spicy chili, but not too spicy... will be freezing some  and also dragging some to work for lunch all this week...

It takes a bit of prep work to get this done...

and a lot of pots and pans and dishes and trash (I am not the trash, well, maybe)... Jeff started his chili around 11 or so and I jumped in after 12ish...

If there were any doubt who I was pulling for, I even wore purple underwear.. purple and black!! Yay Ravens!!!

You know you are visiting a gay couples Super Bowl party when the reading material in the bathroom is the latest Under Gear catalog with a guy in shoulder pads... I mean, come on.. hehehe

Steph H. and Joe were in the house for the game... Steph brought one of the highlights of the night for a dessert... more on that in a bit...

Our little Mur Mur (Mary) showing off her Adam Lavine screen-saver to Jeff (also decked out in the purple and black)

Roxy getting some lovin' from Steph's fiance' Chris during the game...

Chris and Derek by the fire (yes there was a fire in the fireplace-most of the night)

Me chowing down on bowl 2 or 3 of chili hanging with Mary...

Janine and Mike with our lap dog Pino, making himself and home on their laps (always good when they can hang out)

Eventually everyone left a bit after the game... Jeff went to bed and I stayed up and put away the leftovers and, well, may have had a few of them while doing so... this is one of Steph H's dessert pieces... a cinnamon type cupcake thingy with marshmallow melted inside...YUMMY!!!! Even a bit of it squirted on my shirt... Not to say the lemon desert Derek made did not go un-noticed (finished tonight)...

You know it was a good time when you find leftover Corona Lights on your back porch (after 48 hours they become property of the people living where they were left...Thanks Joe!)

Why is it when I schedule to take time off after a big party or awards show, I wake up at the crack ass of dawn... Monday I was wide awake and could have gone into work, but Jeff and I had a house to clean and get in order and also had hair appointments... Gatorade..mmmmm

Can't really tell, but I did get a cut and will post additional pics of the new cut later...

We got our hair did (Thanks Tony at Refuge on Cleveland) and were going to do brunch, but on Monday's nothing really opens until 11am, so we came home... did some putting away of dishes and cleaning and pretty much were lazy all day catching up on some DVR'd shows.  It was rough getting up this morning (go figure), but I had some really good meetings today with some of my producers and am soooo far behind at work.  The rest of the week will be playing catch up and lining up meetings for next week in DC Metro....I hope.

Sorry to ramble...but that is what I do... hope everyone is well... stay tuned.  There is something in the air!

Looks fun. We actually made nachos, dip and drank Mimosas. It's a shame SF didn't win but it was fun to watch Kaepernick!

Sounds and looks like FUN! I made wings and took chips and dip to my BFF's house. We enjoyed a few bottles of wine, and a lot of fun.

Peace <3
