I may look rough here, but the pillows and the bed were so comfortable.... slept like a rock...
Funtimes in DC traffic in morning...heading to Arlington for breakfast with client that went very well and we had a great conversation... she rocks
Notice 0 mph in lower right and I was not at a stop light on my way to that breakfast, but all was cool... had plenty of time and good tunes going...
My second appointment in Alexandria was running a few minutes late, but hanging outside in the 60 degree sun was not a problem.. it was relaxing and Old Towne is cool anyway...
I got have a wonderful lunch with Cubby and his hubby Greg at Hard Times Cafe in Old Towne... was so great to see them again... we have been blog buddies for years and I got to meet them in Cincinatti a couple of years ago. They just moved to NOVA last year and this was the first chance I got to catch up with them... great guys... I love meeting up with my blog friends... y'all rock...
This is the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria... It is his birthday we celebrate this weekend... so why not throw it in the mix today..
I left Alexandria before 2 thinking I would beat the traffic leaving DC for the weekend... WRONG! If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you probably got sick of my little pics and rants, but it took me two hours to go from Alexandria to Quantico (googlemap it)...ughhhh
Please get me home!!
I was even able to shoot a video... Traffic was horrible and slow all the way past Fredericksburg. I usually do not schedule meetings in NOVA on Fridays for this reason, especially in the summer, but this just fell this was for reasons of client schedules and mine... I promise this will not happen again...
All in all it was a pretty good trip I think. Minus the traffic issue cominig home. Now, on with the weekend. Thanks again to Larry and Greg for great lunch company. Hope to see you guys again soon... and AnneMarie... we took several pics Greg should be getting out there for you.

I figured you would have traffic...it doesn't matter what time you leave NOVA, you're going to deal with traffic. I avoid it up there at all costs, though I do want to come up to see Cubby and another gay friend sooner or later. Probably park in Springfield and ride the train from there.
The video isn't showing up, says it's been removed or privacy settings prevent it showing.
Glad the trip was productive overall. See you next month at Spo-a-thon!
Peace <3
Jay
what a chaste little smooch! :) we all gonna be at the spo-fest; hope you and jeff will be too!
thanks for posting, honey. spouse just made the comment: "all that damn construction 14 years ago has NOT made NOVA rush hour any better!" tru fax dat!
jay, cubby lives near springfield, so you would not need the metro to see him. but yeah, if you were going into DC proper, metro is the way to go! PS - I used to live in springfield before I moved back to my forever home, PHILLY YO!
Love your posts! Facebook 'temporarily suspended' my account about a month ago. They want copies of my Government ID to allow me back in again. They won't be getting copies of ANY kind of ID. Email me at RawForReal@yahoo.com. I want to keep in touch. Thanks!
I am mad-jealous you get to see Cubby, or am I mad-jealous Cubby gets to see you?
I saw that I-395 southbound was a total parking lot at 2pm and I was feeling bad for you.
It was so nice seeing you again. Although I'm very happy I got to lay my lips on you, I regret I didn't think fast enough to put my hands to better use! There's always next time... ;-)
