Spring has sprung and it is time for the Monument Avenue 10K... Over 40,000 people run in this event and it pretty much fucks up any kind of getting around the city for the most part of the day... the 10K is on one of America's most beautiful and famous streets... cobblestone and multi-million dollar homes (which I will not have now that people in MD, KS and IL won the Mega)...
Jeff in rain gear having a morning sandwich as this race started way tooooo early for our asses, but we made it out...
I even put on running shoes for the event... about as close to a 10K I will ever come to running... and yes, that is my early morning cocktail next to my foo...
Say and Steph hung out with us too, watching all those runners... man I feel lazy...
Our friends Sarah and Lee actually ran the damn thing...
So did our friend Mike (husband of Sarah in previous pic)... He needed a refresher...
Then there were other runners...
who may have caught my attention...
Sir, yes Sir...mmmm
a doo run runn a doo rag run run
what is under that kilt? slurp...
Also, a big part of the the whole thing are the costumes... since it was raining today, I did not see too many over the top ones... well, after our friends passed us, we also gave up...
Nothing like a sassy bunny for Easter...
Congrats to all 40,000 who finished the race, especially to Mike, Sarah, Steph, Lee, and according to Facebook... Betsy and Keith... you all ran further than I like to drive in a day. Good job! Hope you feel okay Sunday...
