You do the math...

Best friend Sloan in town + orange crushes + other good friends = drunken late night...

Crump, Sloan and I early in the evening... yes it was a Thursday, but hell, we did not have to work on Friday... well, Sloan and I didn't... Sorry Crump...

Orange Crush

Orange Crush

Sloan, B-natch, Tray and I moving towards the end of the evening.

Orang Crush-again and again and again...

What we thought was a little girls scarf ended up being some mean girls scarf... she left it sitting in the chair... we had to play with it..

Pictures speak louder than words...

A little note from our friend the bar manager Tray...

Just a little help needed in getting out the bar...

We made it!!! Though it looks like Tray is expecting a fall or something...hehehe

We did actually make it out the bar and to the cab.  It gets fuzzy from there, but I woke up around 11ish on Friday... Sloan finally made it out the bed around 1:30ish... So when headed back to drop him off at his rental car, we stopped at Little Mexico for some lunch... and few beers and next thing you know we had been eating and drinking for hours...6:30 rolled around and we had to split so he could go spend his last night in Richmond with his parents and I had to head home to my very patient husband... It was so nice to be able to spend time with Sloan talking about life and where we want to be.  I think Jeff and I may head out to see Sloan in June during San Francisco Pride, this time we will stay long enough to actually site see...so when I got home I had a few drinks and then found out my grandmother was hospitalized... apparently in pain, but she should be released today.  Could not get exactly what was going on out of my mom, but we will see... she is 85 years old and a tough woman...fingers crossed... Today I will hopefully get the pictures printed that I meant to do yesterday and also get to the grocery store so we can have food for tonite and tomorrow... Joe and Stace are coming over to crash tonite and watch Anderson and Kathy bring in the New Year.

And as you may have noticed, I am slowly going to be moving over to blogger for my blog... I will redirect ramblingalong.com over here at some point, until then I will just put the link in the post... I know, you have to click one more time to be bored by my post... but, if you have my blog in your RSS feed, do not change the addy... I will keep it and redirect at some point this weekend.  I have some work to do on this location, but it is a New Year, so why not a new blog and fresh look...

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and may 2012 bring you much happiness!!

My Baby is 6 years old...

Yes, my blog baby is 6 years old today... I made a quick post this day in 2005... if you have been around a while, you know this started as a movie review blog along with a 'see if Kelly can drop some weight' blog.  Over the years it has changed a bit and bounced around from Blogger, to Wordpress, to GoDaddy... as I reflect this blog has been a great thing.  Even though Facebook has gnawed away at my hits, there of those of you who have been there over the years and I can't thank you enough.  You have seen the good, the bad and the nekkid... When I started this blog I weighed in at about 233...then over the years I have dropped as low as 198 and now back up to 217... life has it's ups and downs...

The last 6 years has brought joy and pain.. The blog world has been very kind to me over the years. You have supported my Pride Month picture, you have introduced me to Vodka/Fresca. I have met so many great people from blogging and hope to meet many more along the way. Facebook has made blogging sorta a backseat thing, but we all know there is always fun in the backseat... hehehe...

Along the way you have followed some big changes in my life.  You were introduced to my man Jeff, who I have been with since 2002... and was engaged to before (in 2004) the blog and then

Cricket has been along for the ride the whole time and we adopted Pino from the SPCA in 2005, then this year adopted Roxy to add to our family... Cricket, Pino and Roxy...ahhh the howling.... Jeff and I have been through some tough times with our finances and with some friends, but we are making it.

In the last  6 years, I have been promoted at work... have welcomed a niece into the world... and lost a dear friend to a 27 year fight against HIV.  Jeff and I have been to PuertoVallarta (twice), NYC to see Paula Dean, San Francisco to meet wonderful bloggers for Pride Weekend, Nags Head (several times),  The Pines Fire Island, New Orleans for Southern Decadence to meet more bloggers(and hang out with the fairest of them all)...I have had bloggers visit Richmond and hang out (Bossy, Idle Eyes)....

My blog has been an outlet unlike any other.  It was there before Facebook and will be there like my family photo album.  This is where I share my thoughts, my pictures and my life.  Thank you all for being a part of it for the last 6 years and I hope to keep it going (as long as Facebook does not kill it).

YAY ME!! for doing this for 6 years!! (credits go to vodka and fresca)

Thanks to all of you who have followed me through the years... Anne Marie,  Mike Lewis (for getting into this blog thing), BrettCajun, Tony (Life's wonderful brushstrokes), Kelly (jet boy), Kelly in TX, Idle Eyes, Tom Rimmington,  LargeTony, DanNation, Spirit of St Lewis, UrSpo and Maddog (among many many others who I am too drunk to remember)...

Hugs to you all and thank you for looking in on my little life.

Special love to my husband for dealing with my blog-world life and to my friends and family who put up with this shit.... you all mean the world to me... THANK  YOU!
I am coming back... soon... just have to figure this shit out...
